What is Dyskinesia?

Dyskinesia is a disorder characterized by involuntary muscle movements like tics, tremors or writhing movements in the upper body or lower extremities. It can be caused by prolonged use of antipsychotic drugs like levodopa.

Treatment may include a VMAT inhibitor like Ingrezza, or switching antipsychotic medications.
