What is Eating Disorders?

An eating disorder is an abnormal eating habit. An eating disorder includes anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and pica. Symptoms include constipation, diarrhea, tooth loss, kidney failure, and suicide.

Treatment for eating disorders include therapy, medication, nutrition counseling, and hospitalization. SSRIs can also be used to treat depression that can accompany eating disorders. Therapy can help to find the cause of the eating disorder and to deal with feelings associated with the condition.
