What is Fertility?

Fertility problems involve the inability to conceive children. Infertility can affect both men and women and there are many possible causes. Genetic factors, medical conditions, and external environmental factors can all reduce fertility.

Treatments can include ovary stimulation, in vitro fertilization, and artificial insemination. Fertility drugs such as gonadotropins, progesterones, gonadotropin releasing hormone antagonists (Cetrotide, ganirelix), and estrogen agonist/antagonists (clomiphene) are commonly used for hormone therapy in women.
